Full Job Description
Akima Facilities Operations is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead and manage large-scale contingency response task orders. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive managerial expertise and a proven ability to oversee complex operations in dynamic and austere environments. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Army logistics, contingency planning, and program execution, ensuring mission success under challenging conditions.

Position is contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and direction for global contingency response task orders supporting military and humanitarian operations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive contingency plans and operational strategies.
  • Coordinate with military personnel, federal and foreign government agencies, contractors, and vendors (CONUS and OCONUS).
  • Ensure timely, compliant, and effective execution of all task orders.
  • Monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure contractual compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • Maintain situational awareness of military operations, logistics trends, and evolving requirements.
  • Oversee logistics, life support, and sustainment services in remote or hostile locations.
  • Plan, develop, and participate in senior-level exercises with customers and approved stakeholders.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to U.S. Army regulations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
