Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator - Maternal Wraparound for the Community Based Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The primary purpose of the Program Coordinator position is to provide day-to-day clinical and administrative supervision to program staff. Monitors staff to assure that high quality case management, recovery support, and community support services are provided to individuals served.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Directs the administrative organization of the program as evidenced by organization of case load assignment and coverage schedule.
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, train and supervise the work of others engaged in delivery of rehabilitative, mental health and substance use disorder services as evidenced by supervisory observation.
  • Counsels individuals and/or families served with empathy and concern, as monitored by feedback from individuals served and supervisory observation.
  • Develops and delivers training for staff based upon program and staff needs.
  • Meets annual requirements.
  • Understands and adheres to the Rutgers compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master's Degree in appropriate mental health discipline plus four (4) years post graduate experience in a relevant mental health field.


Certifications/Licenses
  • All clinical licensing as required by discipline and the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (e.g. Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a licensed Psychologist).
  • Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New Jersey certification/licensure as required by the State Board of Social Work.
  • Valid driver's license.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must possess own vehicle for use to outreach individuals served and monitor staff activities in the community.


Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of relevant supervisory experience preferred.
  • LCADC preferred.
  • Experience with community based service provision preferred.
