Overview

This important role will be responsible for all aspects of managing and monitoring a property portfolio and ensuring mortgagor/owner compliance with program, loan and regulatory requirements imposed by Virginia Housing, HUD, IRS. This role provides daily technical support and training to owners, management and site agents regarding the interpretation and application of rules and regulations governing the Virginia Housing Rental Loan and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Housing programs. Performs compliance audits and conducts physical inspections per IRS, HUD and NSPIRE guidelines.

To be successful in this role you must possess:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • A few years of experience working in the Property Management Industry or affordable housing industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of Outlook, proficiency in Internet functionality.
  • Must be able inspect the properties by navigating the buildings, stairways, and grounds.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Up to 75% travel is required.


The ideal candidate would also have experience in:
  • Affordable housing programs and in-depth knowledge of LIHTC and HUD Occupancy Handbook 4350.3.
  • Industry Certifications (HCCP, COS, AHM, TaCCs, C3P, SCHM) are preferred.
