Job Description

As a finance team member of the Electronic Attack Solutions (EAS) Product line, you will work as the lead analyst supporting the Compass Call Life Cycle Integrated Product Support family of programs and overseeing the C2EAST Program. This is a unique opportunity to gain leadership experience, leading and impacting a team that oversees a unique family of programs.

Project finance plans, controls and reports program performance relating to cost and schedule according to the Earned Value Management System (EVMS). Project finance is a well-rounded role that introduces an employee to the various facets of BAE Systems finance.

This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified.

Required Skills and Education

  • Key liaison to the program team (PMs and Functional) to ensure all internal and external Financial requirements are met
  • Developing creative solutions to problems and driving change
  • Creating and influencing program baselines through earned value management
  • Developing and shaping program risks and opportunities, such as cost overruns and scheduling delays
  • Developing financial forecasts for the program and related programs and analyzing estimates at completion
  • Supporting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements both internally and externally
  • Interfacing with customers and serving as a consultant for external communications
  • Reporting financials to management and serving as an expert for the function
  • Seeking out projects to continually improve processes
  • Audit support as required
  • Proposal support through participating in fact-finding, statements of position, and negotiations


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer, and Cobra
  • Ability to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Previous experience in program control
  • Leadership experience in prior positions
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System & Earned Value Audits
  • Ability to operate with high degree of autonomy, exercising initiative and persistence to resolve issues and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate and understandable manner.
  • General knowledge of industry practices and standards.
