Full Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a Program Analyst to join a team responsible for developing and executing business development, proposal capture, and strategic growth initiatives supporting advanced defense technologies. This position supports the Technology Development Business Unit (TDBU) and works closely with Mechanical Division leadership, TDBU leadership, engineering teams, and executive management to identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities within the Department of War (DoW). As a Program Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: • Develop and execute business development and capture strategies for current and emerging opportunities within the DoW and related defense markets. • Lead and coordinate proposal capture activities from opportunity identification through proposal submission, including capture planning, competitive assessments, and win strategy development. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement with government stakeholders, industry partners, and internal leadership to identify and shape future business opportunities. • Collaborate with Mechanical Division leadership, Technology Development Business Unit leadership, and technical subject matter experts to align Torch capabilities with customer mission requirements. • Coordinate cross-functional proposal teams to develop compliant, compelling, and competitive technical and management solutions. • Conduct market research, customer assessments, and competitive analyses to identify emerging requirements and strategic growth opportunities. • Support the development of Torch-owned products and technology offerings by identifying organizational capabilities and fostering collaboration across the Technology Development Business Unit. • Track and manage business development activities, opportunity pipelines, capture milestones, and proposal schedules to ensure timely execution of growth initiatives. • Prepare and deliver executive-level briefings, white papers, capability presentations, and customer-facing materials supporting business development and capture efforts. • Provide strategic guidance to division and senior leadership regarding customer priorities, competitive positioning, technology investment opportunities, and long-term market growth. • Maintain regular and effective communication with executive leadership, customers, and business partners regarding opportunity status, capture strategies, proposal progress, and business development initiatives. • Support business planning activities, opportunity pipeline management, and financial considerations associated with business development investments. • Foster collaboration across the Technology Development Business Unit to expand Torch's presence within the threat systems market and promote organizational capabilities. • Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • U.S. Citizenship. • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience. • 8+ years of related experience • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level clearance. • Experience supporting the Department of War (DoW). • Demonstrated experience in business development, proposal capture, strategic planning, and customer engagement within the defense industry. • Experience leading capture efforts and coordinating cross-functional proposal teams. • Strong understanding of Department of War acquisition processes and defense contracting. • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. • Self-motivated, well organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced degree in Engineering or Business. • Experience supporting threat systems, advanced technology development, or strategic defense initiatives. • Experience with competitive assessments, market analysis, and opportunity pipeline management. • Experience developing executive-level presentations, white papers, and customer-facing materials. • Established relationships within the DoW and defense industry community. • Experience supporting technology investment planning and long-term business growth strategies.
