Duties

Help

  • Serves as a primary program analyst driving the Agency's strategic planning and policy development processes in direct support of the Director's goals and objectives.
  • Conceives, develops, and promulgates strategic programming documents, ensuring strict alignment with HQ DISA, OSD, and other national-level guidance.
  • Develops and implements robust performance metrics to track the agency's planning efforts, identify progress, and recommend course corrections for senior leadership.
  • Acts as the official Secretariat for DISA Director meetings when permitted, fostering an environment of seamless information sharing and consistent messaging among DISA stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with staff to revise policy documents and plans, ensuring all written materials effectively communicate the desired strategic message.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Time-in-Grade:

For the GS 13 grade level: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.

Specialized Experience:

Specialized experience is defined as: Developing Command Staff-level white papers, point papers, presentations, and official minutes, as well as creating effective written communication materials, including policy documents and plans.

You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level
