Summary

This position is in the Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Commercial and Business Affairs (EEB/CBA). The Office of Commercial and Business Affairs is responsible for managing commercial and business affairs programs , developing strategic advocacy assistance for U.S. businesses, and integrating business perspectives into the nation's foreign policy.

Duties

Help

  • Manages and enhances the Commercial Diplomacy Case Manager (CDCM) platform to support program operations and organizational goals.
  • Analyzes business processes, program data, and user requirements to identify opportunities for system and workflow improvements.
  • Develops and implements solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Provides training, technical assistance, and guidance to users and stakeholders on program systems, tools, and processes.
  • Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to support program initiatives, resolve issues, and improve operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F. Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience managing and improving business applications using Microsoft Power Platform tools, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Power BI.

Experience analyzing programs, processes, and data to identify issues, develop recommendations, and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience coordinating with stakeholders and providing training or guidance on systems, programs, and business processes to support organizational goals.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.
