Program Analyst 2 - SUD Coordinator
Woodburn, Oregon - MACLAREN YOUTH CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Coordinator to join the team at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn. This position plays a central role in coordinating the delivery of substance use disorder services across the MacLaren campus, ensuring youth have access to consistent, evidence-based, and developmentally appropriate treatment. The SUD Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and approving SUD assessments, providing training and clinical supervision to Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADCs) and Certified Recovery Mentors (CRMs), and supporting high-quality treatment practices. Working closely with living unit leadership and multidisciplinary teams, this position helps ensure services are comprehensive, equitable, and responsive to the unique needs of youth in OYA's care. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about working with adolescents in a residential setting, values collaboration and positive youth development, and is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in both treatment delivery and staff development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program
    OR

  • Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

Special Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor II certification or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire required

Required Skills:

  • Substance use disorder treatment or program experience working with children/adolescents/young adults required.

  • Strong communicator, with both written and verbal skills in advocating for treatment services.

  • Experience with overseeing a substance use treatment program and staff, including clinical supervision.

  • Solid organizational skills, being able to coordinate multiple deadlines, projects, and trainings at once.

  • Knowledge and experience with incorporating the specific needs of diverse populations into substance abuse treatment plans and service delivery strategies.

  • Work history that demonstrates experience providing substance use treatment services in a secure setting.
