OverviewThe PCS Research Program Manager works with the Patient Care Services (PCS) and PCS Research Departments to build and support a culture of inquiry within the organization. The Manager works in partnership with the Chief Nursing Executive (CNE)/Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Director of PCS Research to implement, support or coordinate projects and programs that evaluate patient care outcomes, generate new knowledge and support the mission, vision, and strategic plans of the Department of Nursing, Allied Health and the organization. The Program Manager helps mentor PCS clinicians to submit research proposals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and to disseminate research results via abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.

Responsibilities- Facilitates and manages PCS projects and programs to measure and evaluate patient care outcomes, staff professional development, and workforce trends.
- Mentors PCS clinicians through the research process.
- Provides support and expertise for PCS research education.
- Assists with the management of the PCS Research Department budget.
Qualifications- Master's Degree Nursing, allied health, or related field. DNP or PhD preferred. and 3-5 years experience
- Bachelor's Degree BSN required. and 5-7 years experience A masters degree in nursing may be accepted in lieu of a BSN.
- One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas, RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri, RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO required upon hire
- Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire
- Specialty Certification (Nursing Administration or Research) Preferred Upon Hire

Starting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $41.85/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from HomeThis position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
