Job Summary

As a Professional Services Engineer, you will design, implement, and support Microsoft-based infrastructure for a wide variety of clients. This role is heavily focused on Windows Server, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Hyper-V virtualization, and Microsoft Intune, while also supporting broader infrastructure technologies as needed. You will partner closely with clients to understand their business and technical needs, deliver scalable technology solutions, and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.

While many of our clients operate mixed Windows and macOS environments, this position requires deep expertise in Microsoft technologies. Familiarity with Apple device management and administration is valuable, but the primary focus of this role is Microsoft infrastructure and endpoint management.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, and implement Microsoft infrastructure solutions tailored to each client's business and technical needs.
• Deploy, administer, and support SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server environments, including migrations, permissions, and ongoing management.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint configuration, compliance, application deployment, and device lifecycle management.
• Implement and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, storage, backup, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization for complex client environments.
• Lead infrastructure projects from planning through implementation while ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Produce thorough technical documentation and deliver knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with other engineers on complex projects, escalations, and solution design.
• Recommend and implement security best practices that improve the reliability and security of client environments.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of professional IT infrastructure experience, preferably in an MSP or consulting environment.
• Advanced experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Demonstrated expertise deploying and managing Microsoft Intune.
• Strong experience administering SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server, including migrations, permissions, and ongoing administration.
• Deep understanding of Hyper-V virtualization, including deployment, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune.
• Working knowledge of macOS administration and Apple device management in mixed-platform environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills.
• Ability to independently lead technical projects from planning through implementation.

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft certifications (Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Intune)
• Experience with SharePoint migrations and modernization projects.
• Experience with Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Apple Business Manager, Jamf, or Workspace ONE.
• AWS experience.
• Demonstrated security-first approach when designing, deploying, and supporting client technology solutions.
• Experience delivering professional services in an MSP or consulting environment.

Expectations:

• 20% Reactive work, 30% Proactive work, 50% Project work
• Working at client sites, remotely, with option for in-market office
• Weekly billable goal of 36 hours

This position is bonus eligible, up to 5% of annual salary based on company and team performance
