This Opportunity:Join our Water/Wastewater team and help deliver critical infrastructure projects for municipal, utility, and industrial clients across Virginia. In this role, you'll lead and support projects involving water and wastewater treatment facilities, distribution and collection systems, pump and lift stations, storage facilities, and related utility improvements.
You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions; manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality; foster strong client relationships; support business development efforts; and mentor emerging professionals.
Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Virginia PE preferred or ability to obtain within six months
- 8+ years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure planning, design, and construction support
- Experience leading or supporting multidisciplinary projects from planning through construction
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, conveyance infrastructure, utility design standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience preparing engineering reports, calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and related technical deliverables
- Demonstrated project management experience, including scope, budget, schedule, staffing, and client coordination.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience serving Virginia municipalities, utilities, or industrial water/wastewater clients
- Experience managing water and wastewater treatment facility projects and utility infrastructure improvements
- Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software and industry-standard design tools
- Experience with utility master planning, asset management, capital improvement planning, or resilience studies
- Proposal development and business development experience
- Established relationships within Virginia's water/wastewater market.
- Active participation in professional organizations such as AWWA, WEF, ACEC, or APWA.
