What you will do
As a Production Supervisor at Group Trucks Operations - NRV, you will lead a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, directly responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance within your area. You will create stable daily operations, coach and develop operators, and ensure standards are followed while continuously improving how work is done.
You will translate plant and department objectives into clear daily expectations on the floor and ensure your team understands how their work contributes to building high-quality trucks, on time, every time.
You will:
• Lead a team of hourly employees to achieve daily and weekly SQDCEP targets
• Ensure standardized work, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently followed
• Coach, develop, and engage employees to build skills, ownership, and accountability
• Drive daily problem solving and support continuous improvement activities
• Partner with maintenance, quality, engineering, safety, and other support functions to remove obstacles and improve performance
• Demonstrate Volvo Values and Core Leadership Principles in daily leadership behaviors
Your Future Team
As a Production Supervisor you will hold a very important role in the NRV Organization as well as in the Final Assembly Management Team. You will report directly to an Area Manager and be part of a larger production leadership team within Final Assembly.
Your role is critical in connecting plant strategy to shop-floor execution. You are the primary leader shaping the daily employee experience and setting the tone for safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in your area.

You will lead the full scope of: Final Assembly. Your team has approximately fifty (50) direct reports.

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree or two (2) years' leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Manufacturing leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience leading in a unionized environment is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Safety:
o Create and maintain a safe work environment for all employees
o Ensure safe work practices, PPE usage, and adherence to safety standards
o Actively identify and address hazards, near misses, and ergonomic risks
o Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions
Leadership:
o Achieve daily production, quality, delivery, and cost targets
o Conduct daily start-up meetings and performance reviews
o Monitor and respond to abnormalities in safety, quality, and production
o Ensure staffing, skills coverage, and job rotations support production needs
o Escalate issues appropriately and follow through to closure
o Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable to standards
o Coach employees on performance, behaviors, and skill development
o Provide regular feedback, recognition, and corrective coaching
o Support onboarding and training of new employees
o Build engagement, trust, and teamwork within the crew
Communication:
o Communicate priorities, changes, and expectations clearly and consistently
o Ensure two-way communication and encourage employee input
o Reinforce how daily work connects to plant goals and business strategy

Continuous Improvement:

Labor Relations:
o Understand and follow the collective bargaining agreement
o Apply policies and work rules consistently and fairly
o Partner with UAW representatives in a professional and respectful manner
At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company's growth. For this position, the base pay is set at $85,000 - $103,000 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
