Job Description

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor II to join the Data Center Power and Control Team in Anaheim, CA for first shift. The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations within assigned department(s). This role drives performance by achieving and enforcing safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory objectives. This includes assisting with interviewing, hiring, training, and appraising employee performance, as well as planning, assigning, and directing work to meet production schedules, customer requirements, and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain strong safety culture. Identify hazards through safety leadership tours, 5S, and good housekeeping practices and proactively assess hazards.
  • Be accountable for meeting production schedules by allocating labor, machines and other resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Monitor production performance using KPIs such as productivity, schedule attainment, labor efficiency, OT, OEE, scrap, and machine downtime.
  • Ensure manufactured components meet engineering specifications and quality standards. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Drive accountability for product quality through established processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate inventory transactions according to established processes through SAP. Support cycle counts, material handling, and the managing of manufactured and purchased parts shortages.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Analyze processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Manage labor relations practices within the scope of company policy.
  • Lead, coach, and develop employees through cross training to maximize engagement, accountability, and performance. Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and a culture of continuous learning.
  • Promote cross-training and continuous improvement for all employees.
  • Ensure equipment and tooling are routinely and preventively maintained.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience is required.


Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience effectively leading others is required.
  • Sheet metal manufacturing experience is required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Salary and Benefits:$85,000 - $95,000 base plus bonus
