You will oversee activity across both the raw processing side of the plant and the ready-to-eat finished goods side, making sure production runs smoothly and issues are addressed quickly.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can motivate a team, make sound decisions in real time, and lead independently during the evening shift. You'll play an important role in maintaining product quality, supporting employee performance, coordinating with maintenance and cross-functional partners, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities in a smaller-footprint facility where every leader has visible impact.

This role supports second-shift operations, with standard hours of 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a manufacturing team of approximately 15-20 employees, including production employees, operators, forklift drivers, and shift support resources
  • Oversee second-shift production across both raw processing and ready-to-eat finished goods operations
  • Drive safe, efficient, and reliable operations while ensuring compliance with company and government standards for quality, sanitation, and safety
  • Monitor shift performance and respond quickly to operational issues, equipment downtime, and staffing needs
  • Partner with maintenance and other cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve issues that affect production flow
  • Build strong working relationships across the plant to support communication, teamwork, and effective problem-solving
  • Facilitate the exchange of information between work groups, supervisors, quality, maintenance, and plant leadership
  • Motivate employees, strengthen technical capability, and foster accountability for daily performance
  • Use sound judgment to lead independently during the evening after day-shift leadership coverage tapers off
  • Identify, organize, and help champion continuous improvement opportunities that support efficiency, reliability, and operational excellence
  • Support reporting and follow-up related to efficiencies, operational improvements, and plant performance over time
  • Demonstrate daily commitment to plant objectives and contribute to a culture of teamwork, ownership, and product protection

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and listening skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing business needs
  • Ability to work second shift hours of 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Must be a self-starter who can lead a shift with a high level of independence

Preferred Qualifications
  • Formal education beyond high school
  • Mechanical aptitude or hands-on mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working with continuous improvement tools or operational excellence initiatives such as Lean, TPM, or similar methods
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive efficiency improvements
