Production Supervisor

Your role:

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day operations forpacking, warehouse and loadingdepartmentensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed Safety.To succeed, youmustbe able to:

Your responsibilities:

  • Oversees and executes day-to-day operations for department ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety

  • Partners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and procedures

  • Monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications while providing recommendations forcontinuousimprovements

  • Participate and lead process improvement initiatives includingCenterlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely)

  • Partners with local plantmanagement to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, total cost of maintenance, monthly review of compliance audits, etc.)

  • Develops planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employees

  • Take counts, correct discrepancies, and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory count outside of variance range in the digital Vs physical count

  • Responsible forworkforce engagement, recognition as well asdevelopment and coachingto hourlymembers

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor27s degreeor High school diploma/GEDequivalentwith4years ofproductionexperience

  • Minimum of1years9 experience having leadership responsibilities inan industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)

  • Demonstratedunderstanding of safetyhazards andprotocols

  • Understanding ofcomputerized maintenance management systems

Good to have:

  • Knowledgeof maintaining, operating, and troubleshootingpackaging equipmentand conveying systems

  • Training in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processes

  • Reliabilitycentered maintenance training around packaging equipment best practices

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protectionand, at times, a respiratoror a harness)

  • Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

  • Ability to work a machine-paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:

  • Hot/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)

  • Indoor/Outdoor environment

  • Dusty environment(to include Wheat/Gluten allergens)

  • Noisy environment

  • Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes

  • Elevated Places

  • Ability to perform work safely which may require:

  • Frequently standing, walking, rotating,bending/stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reachingor lifting at varying heights and levels

  • Frequentlyclimbing stairs and/or ladders

  • Occasionally lifting, shovelingand/or carrying

  • Occasionally pushing and/or pulling

  • Working in confined or elevated places

Other considerations:

  • Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in English

  • Must be willing to work alongside yourteam including long days(days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekendsor holiday work

  • Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Competitive Compensation:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate27s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $74,600.00 - $95,000.00, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - OIP, 5% Annual.
