Job Description SummaryAccountable for managing plant production activities across multiple shifts and/or departments to produce products that meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. Implements standard work and maintains improvement through sustaining behaviors, operating with discipline and rigor, implementing autonomous maintenance. Oversees the production of quality products to fulfill customer requirements. Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability.
Job DescriptionThis role will be dedicated for managing plant production activities across multiple shifts and/or departments to produce products that safely meet established quality, customer service, innovation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies. Implements systems and standards of work and maintains improvement through utilization of LOC program and sustaining behaviors, operating with discipline and rigor. Oversees the production of quality products to fulfill customer requirements. Controls and effectively utilizes the LOC methodology and all pillars to lead improvements in production capacity, manpower utilization, production scheduling and loss elimination to achieve plant CBN and optimize company profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Individuals in this position must:
- Oversee all shift activities, with area ownership focus to line's assigned.
- Responsible/ accountable in identifying/correcting potential safety risks.
- Promote safe work practices at all times, participating in safety programs.
- Directs employees for holding safety huddles, safety audits, and participation in safety programs.
- Provide leadership and expertise for efficient troubleshooting/problem solving to maximize reliability / efficiency and minimize loss in all areas
- Demonstrate ownership of the LOC program; provide leadership to various Pillar teams as assigned.
- Provide coaching on LOC principles and behaviors to supervisory staff and hourly employees.
- Identify and implement cost effectiveness work streams.
- Understand Site Loss Analysis (SLA) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems.
- Work with Food Safety Quality to deliver safe and effective clean-ups and efficient start-ups.
- Work with Warehouse Manager and Demand Planning to create cycle run orders to optimize plant efficiencies.
- Work with FSQ to maintain food safety standards and deliver on QIP initiatives.
- Enforce departmental and plant rules and regulations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Basic & Preferred QualificationsQualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Five (5) to ten (10) years manufacturing experience
- Five (5) years supervisory experience.
- 5-10 years related experience or training
- Knowledge of Microbiology, Food Science or Chemistry
- 3-5 years' experience in sanitation supervisory and/or production
- CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred
- Understanding of various chemicals and sanitation procedures
- Drive plant APQC performance - understand and work with Corporate APQC Leader to drive changes and optimize system.
- Good verbal, written, and technical skills.
Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Pay Rate or Range: $95,020.00 - $142,520.00
