Quanex is looking for a
Production Superintendent -2nd shift to join our team located in
Owatonna, Minnesota.
In this role, you'll be responsible for driving performance across production teams while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2am.

What Success Looks Like: - Lead with safety as the top priority by ensuring compliance with all company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Plan and manage production schedules across manufacturing departments to meet customer demand and delivery commitments.
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure product quality, efficiency targets, and lead-time expectations are consistently met.
- Hire, train, coach, and develop team members-including temporary staff-to build a strong, engaged workforce.
- Adjust staffing levels, overtime, and resources needed to achieve production and delivery goals.
- Must be comfortable leading on the shop floor and engaging directly with employees in a high-accountability manufacturing environment.
What You Bring:- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a metal fabrication environment, with strong knowledge of fabrication processes.
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within an ISO 9001 manufacturing setting (fast-paced environments preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish and/or Somali) is a plus
The targeted salary range for this position is $105,000 to $120,000
