The Opportunity:

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Production Planning Manager Supervisor to join its team. Our ideal candidate excels in streamlining supply chain processes, optimizing inventory management, and driving sales growth. How you'll make an impact:
  • Lead a group of planners to ensure that customer needs are met
  • Implement new or improved planning processes to improve efficiency and performance
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, or engineering
  • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules
  • Confer with personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays
  • Work with Planning & Fulfillment Manager to develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas such as sales, marketing, finance, and operations
  • Forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products
  • Collaborate with operations team to document physical supply chain processes such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows


Your Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, business administration, or closely related field
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using SAP/SAP Ariba strongly preferred
