JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Planning and Control Manager is a strategic leader responsible for aligning operational plans with business objectives, driving S&OP, capacity planning, master scheduling, ERP governance, data integrity, job costing, and inventory optimization, while leading a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

3. Strategic Planning & S&OP
• Lead the Sales & Operations Planning process to align demand forecasts with production capabilities and inventory supply to meet business objectives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance to develop integrated plans that optimize resources and inventory investment to meet customer commitments.

4. Operations Planning & Master Scheduling
• Develop and maintain capacity models to ensure adequate resources for current and future demand.
• Create and manage master production schedules that balance efficiency, cost, and customer delivery requirements.
• Develop, execute and manage operational strategies optimizing internal facilities, and external outsourcing operations.
• Develop effective Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and Bills of Operations (BOO) for all manufactured components and assemblies that optimize operations productivity.
• Manage and control MRP optimization and execution to meet customer requirements and business strategies.

5. Operations Data Management
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of operational data across ERP, WMS and MES systems.
• Manage WMS and MES functionality to provide real-time visibility into production performance, transaction accuracy and execution.

6. ERP Governance
• Serve as the primary owner for operations-related ERP governance, including process standardization, data accuracy, and system enhancements.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to implement best practices for manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

7. Job Costing & Financial Control
• Oversee job costing processes to ensure accurate tracking of labor, material, and overhead costs.
• Provide cost analysis and variance reporting to support profitability and operational efficiency.

8. Inventory Planning & Management
• Develop, implement and manage inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and ensure material availability.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement cycle counting and reconciliation processes.
• Manage inventory forecasts and planning execution to meet customer commitments, while minimizing excess and dead inventories.

9. Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Build and lead a high-performing team focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements using Lean principles and data-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Deep expertise in S&OP processes and ERP systems implementation and optimization; experience with governance and data management
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and process improvement using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial acumen.

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or related field; APICS CPIM and CSCP certifications are highly desirable.
• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in operational planning, scheduling, and manufacturing functions in a manufacturing environment.
