Production Planning Analyst – Brownwood, TX
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The person hired for the position of Production Planning Analyst will join the 3M Brownwood facility located in Brownwood, TX and support production planning operations. The person will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain while ensuring customer requirements and supply chain metrics are attained.
As a Production Planning Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Manage the supply plan by purchasing raw materials, scheduling production and managing finished good inventory for multiple manufacturing areas
- Coordinate with other 3M locations, external suppliers, and various business teams to meet service, cost, and inventory targets
- Providing a high degree of planning analysis to support data-driven decision making
- Publish and present service and inventory metrics, results, and gap analysis
- Parameter Management: optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between inventory and service.
- Identify and implement supply chain process improvement projects
- Working closely with business team to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Work daily with manufacturing team, Supply and Demand planners to determine how best to prioritize and resolve supply constraints and balance service, inventory and cost to meet business targets.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Two (2) years of Supply Chain experience in private, public, government of military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with Factory Planner or another MRP or ERP application
- Project management and leadership experience
- APICS CPIM and/or CSCP Certification
- Collaborative and interpersonal skills including teaching, coaching, and leading cross-functional teams through projects
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environment
Work location: Onsite at 3M Brownwood, TX
Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
