ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Planner orders raw materials, maintains inventory levels, and creates and updates production orders in the system. Duties include, but are not limited to, ordering raw materials, data entry, filing, tracking, and entering production and raw material information into the system.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Schedules the plant production.
  • Orders raw materials for the plant, including granules, asphalt, filler, sand, etc., and coordinates with corporate buyers on other materials.
  • Monitors raw material stocking levels.
  • Tracks and updates raw materials.
  • Spot-checks raw materials as necessary and works with accounting to maintain the accuracy of those materials in the system.
  • Reviews production orders in the system for completion and picking list postings.
  • Maintains and updates production orders with the schedule.
  • Assists accounting in monthly raw material counts and recounts as requested.
  • Inputs and receives raw materials as needed.
  • Creates and updates purchase orders as necessary and reviews weekly to ensure the accuracy and timing of inbound raw materials.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Field of Study Preferred: supply chain management, transportation, or a related field

Required Work Experience: At 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Travel Requirements: NA

Additional Requirements:
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
