The salary range for this position is $80,000 - 90,000, which will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The Production Scheduler will foster cross-functional collaboration, leveraging their expertise and experience to align with internal departments. Their role is pivotal in formulating and implementing strategies that align with both immediate and long-term business objectives, ensuring a transparent view of material availability with a particular emphasis on initiating the machining of parts. This role will initiate jobs in the Oracle ERP system/MES. They will also be responsible for identifying, communicating, and escalating any material delays in accordance with production and service schedules. This position requires a strong analytical aptitude coupled with a customer-centric approach, and a comprehensive understanding of concepts, methods, procedures, and technical knowledge.
Essential Responsibilities
As a key player in daily scheduling and planning activities, you will focus on final and sub-assembly machining production and service, meeting short-term objectives, swiftly resolving issues, establishing long-term plans, and conducting root cause analysis to enhance efficiency and expedite the scheduling process.
Collaborate with team members to resolve issues, track material availability, advise on material shortages, maintain daily communication with internal stakeholders (Production, Sourcing, Quality, Service, Engineering, Sales), and fulfill shop requirements through the scheduling and release of production orders.
Work extensively within Oracle ERP/ASCP and Microsoft Excel.
Maintain and improve inventory planning and control systems to ensure that the right material can be received in the right time to support on-time fulfillment.
Use problem solving skills to work through fulfillment and supplier issues.
Understand issues and opportunities within areas of responsibility and drive process improvements.
Create, review, update necessary reports to effectively communicate to all levels of the business.
Keep system maintenance for accuracy/alignment for scheduled dates in ERP system.
Collaboration with SIOP to help analyze, identify, and action concerns in our demand signals.
Monitor the material input to ensure the inventory level in proper level, balance the material supply & inventory replenishment.
Mitigate and minimize expediting fees and other expenses with suppliers.
Supports key planning inputs into ERP, including lead times, minimum, maximum, fixed order, and fixed lot multiplier quantities, days of supply, etc.
Manage supplier updates in ERP to ensure that they are up-to-date and of qualitative value to our internal customers.
Support supplier performance initiatives and drive resolution on performance issues by understanding supplier capacities & capabilities.
Support key business initiatives through continuous improvement projects.
Drive Supply ON adoption with suppliers.
Contribute to projects as a team member or leads small projects.
Manage daily and long-range scheduling by rescheduling jobs for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control).
Qualifications / Requirements
Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning module - Oracle, SAP, etc.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with supply chain focus or related field (or 3+ years of comparable industry experience)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
