Job DescriptionYou will be the Production Operations Manager for the Production Operations team. Our team is responsible for delivering manufacturable, high-quality solutions on schedule and within cost targets.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Production Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading production planning, execution, and transition activities across internal sites and external suppliers.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute manufacturing transition plans to ensure design for manufacturability.
- Lead cost, schedule, and quality oversight for production activities.
- Coordinate rate and capacity planning with internal and supplier resources.
- Support proposal generation with production input and manage make/buy decisions.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management to meet program goals.

Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related discipline
• A broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including to non-technical personnel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence
• Lean Six Sigma experience
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance with Interim required prior to starting
Desired skills• Related professional level career experience in production operations.
• Production Operations leadership experience.
• Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
• Experience in capacity & capital planning.
• Understanding and wide application of assembly and Test methods.
• First Unit Flow planning & execution
• Manufacturing & Test Statement of Work and
Proposal development experience
• Experience with Make-Buy Generation
• Experience in the design of manufacturing
processes, procedures, and production layouts for
assemblies, equipment installation, machining and
material handling.
• CAM Certification or cost analysis experience.
• Must have the ability to obtain a SAR clearance
• Green or Black Belt
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $111,700 - $196,880. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $128,400 - $222,640.
