The role...

The Production Manager - Converting provides manufacturing expertise to the site's make-to-order paper converting department. This role ensures that the production of products and processes meets or exceeds safety, quality, service, and productivity expectations while driving a values-based culture that focuses on employee development, retention and manufacturing best practices. The department includes 70+ employees, 18 machines, and evolving 24/7 operations.

  • Operational Excellence & Results Orientation - Drives operational performance by improving productivity, quality, delivery, and cost through disciplined execution and a focus on results. Experience in Make to Order manufacturing environment required.
  • People Leadership & Talent Development - Builds high-performing teams through coaching, accountability, employee development, and succession planning.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Promotes a safety-first culture and ensures compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and company standards.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement - Applies advanced manufacturing and Lean principles to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, waste elimination, and sustainable business results.

  • Proven expertise in make-to-order production environment and utilization of Lean methodology tools to sustain manufacturing processes.
  • Experience managing and adhering to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
  • Strong ERP proficiency required; SAP experience preferred.
  • Solid financial acumen, including, cost control, budgeting, and productivity analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate strategically - balancing long-term planning with operational execution.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Must have experience working in a matrix environment.
