What are you going to do?

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily operations of the Assembly, Material Handling, and Test departments to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely production of high-quality equipment. This role drives operational performance by focusing on safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost while developing a highly engaged workforce and promoting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily production operations across Assembly, Material Handling, and Test departments.
  • Ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Partner with the Production Director to develop and execute production strategies and operational plans.
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing workforce through coaching, performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages employee engagement, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Lead safety initiatives, conduct incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and support a proactive safety culture.
  • Ensure employees receive the training, tools, and resources needed to perform their work safely and effectively.
  • Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, efficiency, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Establish, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to resolve production and operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with Production Planning and Supply Chain teams to ensure adequate staffing, materials, equipment, and production capacity are available to meet schedules and customer demand.
  • Oversee resource allocation to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient, and productive manufacturing environment.


Requirements
  • Associate's degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience with machinery assembly, fabrication, hydraulics, electrical systems, or automated equipment
  • 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Experience leading teams building mechanical, electrical, industrial equipment, machinery, or heavy equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage employee performance, attendance, and workforce development.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, BOMs, and production schedules.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, 24Flow, or similar)
