Full Job Description
The Production Manager of Plastics and Aerosol is responsible for the overall daily operations of the production facilities at our Richey location. These production operations include the plastics & aerosol production area as well as the kits department. The production manager coordinates all activities to ensure adequate personnel and resources are available and production deadlines and budgets are met. They report directly to the Operations Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the plastics, aerosol & kits departments.
  • Manage assigned supervisors.
  • Determine department needs such as workforce and raw materials and plan all department activities in collaboration with the planning, purchasing, maintenance and shipping & warehousing departments.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are being followed.
  • Lead the continuous improvement processes and line balancing initiatives.
  • Develop, update, and publish Standard Operating Procedures for all department tasks and make sure they are being followed.
  • Enforce health and safety precautions and make sure personnel receive proper training.
  • Ensure assigned personnel wear proper PPE.
  • Develop and monitor productivity metrics for all departments.
  • Write and conduct personnel performance reviews, provide mentoring, coaching and disciplinary activities for assigned personnel.
  • Ensure quality standards are followed and collaborate with the quality and compliance departments.
  • Manage the process of sample generation for new product lines (bottles and caps) in cooperation with the marketing department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor Degree in related field a plus.
  • 5+ years of production management experience required.
  • Experience in plastics, blow mold or aerosol environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred.

  • Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
