Full Job Description
As our Production Manager, you'll oversee all assembly operations and ensure our team delivers high-quality products safely, efficiently, and on time. You will: • Lead, plan, and manage all assembly activities with a focus on cost-effective operations • Align team goals with Caljan's strategic objectives and foster a culture of recognition and accountability • Champion a proactive safety culture; coordinate internal/external audits and incident investigations • Oversee staffing needs, performance evaluations, coaching, development, and corrective actions • Drive continuous improvement using LEAN, 5S, and best-practice manufacturing principles • Manage production planning, scheduling, and workload distribution • Use our ERP system to track labor, costs, efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery • Ensure quality control procedures are followed at every stage of assembly • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues • Prepare BOMs, routings, production orders, and complete production order packages • Coordinate with purchasing and logistics on machine and parts deliveries • Lead departmental meetings and contribute to broader production and strategic discussions • Chair the Safety Committee and oversee emergency management procedures • Support annual budgeting, year-end inventory, and monthly KPI reporting • Provide regular updates to the Managing Director • Perform other duties as needed to support a high-growth environment Essential Experience and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree • Proven experience in a manufacturing or factory environment • Strong background in assembly processes and fabrication • Experience in machine building and production procedures • Knowledge of LEAN, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies • Ability to lead teams through growth and change • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills We Offer We offer a supportive environment where your leadership truly matters.
