Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Manage/Support all test-chamber activity for Torrance facility including overseeing product troubleshooting, equipment repairs and services, establish & maintain test capacity, the calibration of all manufacturing equipment, and communication/develop of KPIs.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate calibration efforts with quality, ensure all equipment calibrations are completed, and calibration records are properly stored without disrupting test activities.
  • Generate and execute a preventive maintenance program, ensuring equipment and cables are properly handled and maintained.
  • Coordinates equipment repairs and services with facilities, manufacturing, quality, and engineering.
  • Ensure priorities are scheduled with operations and manufacturing teams for equipment or product troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Maintain KPIs related to test operations such as Rolling Throughput Yield (RTY) and First Pass Yield (FPY), Test Chamber Capacity, and others as assigned by manager.
  • Evaluate and resolve causes of manufacturing yield and quality problems through structured problem solving.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures which guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and reduces non-value operations.
  • Report on the efficiencies of equipment and operations, including equipment downtime and utilization.
  • Responsible for screening, hiring, training and development of staff.
  • Regularly analyze and address capacity limitations, executing labor and capital equipment justifications.
  • Support gate reviews, ensuring proper handoff from engineering to manufacturing, including procedure review and training.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (CI) activities and Lessons Learned.
  • Review requirements to ensure facilities are compliant.
  • Regularly contribute to SIOP process related to testing/test chamber capacity issues in support of customer deliveries.
  • Support ad hoc projects as assigned by manager.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Typically requires 6+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing with 3+ years' experience leading teams.
  • Experience evaluating and resolving causes of manufacturing yield and quality problems through structured problem solving.
  • Experience reading schematics and troubleshoot products and equipment.
  • Experience MS Office skills required, with emphasis in Excel.
  • Experience developing/managing appropriate KPIs.
  • Experience AS9100

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
