Job Summary:

Leads and delivers Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (SQCDP) performance for Production Manager - Inventory Control across PECNA Operations. Expected to serve as a leader who sets clear expectations, holds people accountable, removes barriers, and inspects what you expect with courtesy and respect. Ensures end-to-end supply chain value-stream accountability by collaborating upstream and downstream to maintain proper inventory control levels and healthy WIP. Personal Safety is imperative and the mandate of Quality is the foundation of everything we do-neither will be compromised under any circumstances.

Essential Duties:

Functional Leadership & Operations:
  • Owns execution and governance of incoming/outgoing inventory for operations to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and compliant transactional discipline.
  • Maintains visibility of RAW/WIP/FG positions and validates that inventory status/location controls enable production execution.
  • Runs dashboards and early warning triggers (upper/lower limits) to prevent stockouts, excess, or unhealthy WIP.

Strategic Alignment & Continuous Improvement:
  • Drives discrepancy investigations and corrective actions; documents and sustains countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Partners with Finance and Supply Chain to align inventory reporting, reconciliation, and audit readiness.

Team Development & Knowledge Sharing:
  • Builds capability and accountability for inventory discipline across operations teams and material movement partners.
  • Trains stakeholders on inventory control routines, system transactions, and escalation triggers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Coordinates with Receiving/Shipping, Production, Quality (holds), and Supply Chain to ensure inventory integrity and FIFO discipline.
  • Collaborates upstream and downstream to ensure smooth value-stream flow and correct WIP/inventory control levels.

Quality, Safety, Compliance, & Risk Management:
  • Ensures inventory handling and storage follow safety rules and quality requirements (including holds, segregation, and disposition).
  • Ensures all inventory transactions are completed timely and accurately; maintains audit-ready records.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Leads inventory control analysts/specialists or assigned team members; provides functional leadership to inventory-related execution partners.
  • Owns weekly cycle count execution/governance and discrepancy investigation cadence.

Travel Requirement:
  • Minimal travel as required for business needs.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

Education, Certifications, and Licenses:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for required education.

Preferred:
  • Master's degree (MBA or MS) in a related discipline
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification

Essential Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-shift execution and drive plan attainment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in regulated/traceable environments and with cycle count/physical inventory governance.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MES/WMS inventory transactions and documentation discipline.
