Job PurposeReporting to the Plant Manager, the Autonomous Production Unit Manager - Graves will have overall responsibility for all activities across the three manufacturing units on the grave shift.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis is an overnight and onsite role at Warrensburg, MO.
- Lead all Autonomous Production Unit (APU) resources to achieve production targets while ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste and scrap, and improve product quality.
- Champion EnerSys Operating System (EOS) tools including MDI, 5S, TPM, Hour by Hour, OEE, Root Cause Problem Solving, RIEs, and JDIs.
- Ensure timely disposition and corrective action of non-conforming product.
- Maintain compliance with manufacturing processes, procedures, and quality inspection requirements.
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production teams while fostering a positive, accountable culture.
- Partner with matrix managers and other APU Managers to optimize plant performance.
- Monitor KPIs, manage departmental budgets, and ensure achievement of production goals.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EHS audits, risk assessments, and safe work procedures.
- Support employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and disciplinary processes as required.
Promote housekeeping standards through 5S and Gemba Walks.

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of production management experience.
• Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
• Employee relations experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• OSHA safety management knowledge.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and developing safe work procedures.
• Manufacturing, Production Control, Engineering, or Continuous Improvement background preferred.
