Full Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for establishing and leading a team of production associates in the manufacture of oligonucleotide products.
This position reports to the Sr. Site Manager and is part of the operations group located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Lead daily oligonucleotide production operations to meet throughput, quality, and on-time delivery KPIs
• Execute technology transfer of DNA synthesis workflows from R&D into manufacturing, ensuring successful scale-up and process robustness
• Hire, lead, and develop a manufacturing team of technicians across production activities
• Own validation and qualification of new equipment, processes, and manufacturing workflows
• Partner with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, Engineering, Supply Chain) to support process improvements and production readiness
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using DBS tools (e.g., kaizen, standard work) to enhance yield, cycle time, and efficiency
• Other duties as assigned
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or related discipline
• Several years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership experience
• Experience with nucleic acid manufacturing, sequencing workflows, or other production processes
• Ability to lead technical transfer or process scale-up from development into manufacturing
• Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a production environment
• Exposure to equipment and process validation
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
• Ability to travel 10% of the time during tech transfer phase
• Ability to work in a laboratory/manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods
• Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50lb
It would be a plus if you also possess:
• Lean / Six Sigma certification
• Knowledge of regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., GMP, ISO, or similar quality systems)

The annual salary range for this role is $117,000 - $135,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
