Full Job Description
PRODUCTION MANAGER

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Production Manager to join our team and help us drive Operational Excellence throughout our facilities.

THE ROLE

  • Maintain the facility to meet government regulatory requirements, applicable laws and Company standards in the areas of safety, security and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the production lines are effectively managed by monitoring, analyzing, and making decisions to most efficiently use time, materials and resources.
  • Create, execute and constantly evolve the production operational excellence plan to drive team performance by:
    • Maintaining the TPI-Three culture of continuous improvement and "Right 1st Time" operating philosophy throughout the operation.
    • Building a team by setting and communicating clear expectations that drive performance and personal accountability.
    • Implementation and management of key metrics for functional responsibilities to proactively identify and address both positive and negative performance trends.
    • Support quality efforts with the customers and within the facility.
  • Manage Production Supervisors within the plant. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.
  • Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Create partnerships as a team player with management across the enterprise and foster individual employee development through coaching, mentoring and training.
  • Sustain a strong reputation for ethics and credibility within the company, industry and customer accounts.
  • Coordinate with a wide variety of internal resources in support of the overall Plant Operation including technical operations, mold shop human resources, finance, customer service and new product development.
  • Promote a strong process, data centric orientation with the ability to continuously drive team performance and results through the development and utilization of key metrics.
  • Implement activities to keep abreast of new technology, regulatory changes, and manufacturing innovations.


WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A bachelor's degree and/or five (5) years of experience in a similar position, or ten (10) years of related plastic molding experience in an ISO certified facility and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Preferred:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
