This role will be accountable for all aspects of plant performance, and will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with Customer Requirements, Quality Control Plans, and minimum OE Standards. He/she will delegate authority to staff/direct reports to ensure that production and order fulfillment schedules are executed efficiently and on-time. This role is accountable for leading and managing all plant operations in a manner that is consistent with Vision and Values.
Responsibilities- Manage and lead daily production operations.
- Supervise, train, and develop production supervisors, leads, and operators.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams, as well as other departments.
- Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee staffing levels, time management, and employee performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality systems.
- Track and report key performance indicators (OEE, scrap, downtime, etc.).
Qualifications- 5+ years of production management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (blowing mold/plastics environment is a plus).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a team.
- Experience with scheduling, production planning, and process optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
