Full Job Description
Production Manager - Manufacturing
Greater Allentown Area, PA
Lead the Floor. Drive Results. Build Something Better.
We're looking for a hands-on, results-driven Production Manager to take ownership of our manufacturing operations in the greater Allentown area. This is not a desk role-this is an opportunity for someone who thrives on the plant floor, understands the details of equipment and process flow, and knows how to turn teams into high-performing units.
If you know when to roll up your sleeves and fix the problem-and when to bring in the right expertise-you'll fit right in.

What You'll Do

  • Own plant operations in a batch manufacturing environment, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction
  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams, building strong bench strength and future leaders
  • Optimize resource allocation, labor utilization, and production flow
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Quality, and Logistics to align production with customer demand
  • Manage budgets and understand labor and production cost drivers, ensuring strong margin performance
  • Oversee equipment performance, including basic troubleshooting, maintenance decisions, and vendor coordination
  • Establish and implement KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement

What You Bring
  • 7+ years of plant or production management experience, ideally in batch manufacturing
  • A hands-on leadership style-you lead from the floor, not from an office
  • Strong understanding of production flow, scheduling, and operational bottlenecks
  • Proven ability to improve efficiencies and productivity while maintaining quality standards
  • Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and overall operational performance
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and maintenance decision-making
  • Ability to develop teams and build a positive, accountable culture
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments

This is an opportunity to make a visible, measurable impact on operations within a company that truly values practical leadership and continuous improvement. You'll step into a role with real ownership and autonomy, supported by strong cross-functional collaboration where your voice is heard and respected. In return, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
This role is ideal for someone who naturally identifies problems and immediately begins thinking through solutions, balances strategy with hands-on execution, and takes genuine pride in developing people as much as improving processes. You understand that sustainable efficiency comes from aligning both systems and talent-and you know how to drive both.
If you're ready to take ownership of a plant, build strong teams, and elevate performance-we want to hear from you.
