Production Manager - LynTec

Full-Time, Exempt|Lenexa, Kansas|Reports to: General Manager

Position Summary:

The Production Manager oversees the manufacturing, testing, quality assurance, and shipment of LynTec's power control products, including relay panels, circuit breaker panels, and low-voltage control systems. This role leads daily production operations, supervises manufacturing personnel, and ensures products are built safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while meeting customer delivery commitments. The Production Manager coordinates production schedules, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and maintains compliance with company and industry requirements.

Production Operations
  • Oversee daily manufacturing activities related to the assembly, testing, and completion of LynTec products.
  • Perform and supervise final assembly of relay panels, circuit breaker panels, low-voltage PCB control boards, and related electrical control systems.
  • Verify all products are manufactured according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Establish production priorities and assign work to production personnel.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure timely completion and delivery of finished goods.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and throughput.
  • Assist with prototype builds and engineering change implementation as required.
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes to minimize defects and rework.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product issues and improve manufacturing processes.


Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Conduct and oversee functional testing of completed products.
  • Verify proper operation of circuit breaker panels and communication with LynTec control software and integrated systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software-related issues identified during testing.
  • Ensure all testing documentation is completed accurately and maintained according to company procedures.
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes to minimize defects and rework.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve product issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Assist with managing inventory to ensure parts are available to meet requirements.
  • Familiar with UL (NRTL) specifications to assure product compliance.

Leadership and Personnel Management
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of up to four (4) production employees.
  • Provide daily direction and support to production staff.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching to improve productivity and quality.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and workplace standards.


Education and/or Experience:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of electrical assembly, manufacturing, or production experience.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting electrical control systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit protection devices, relays, and low-voltage controls.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning.


Fully onsite position. Candidates must be available to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
