Full Job Description
Champion a zero-incident safety culture, ensuring strict compliance with OSHA regulations and company Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.
Manage the daily operation of the blown film extrusion department, ensuring optimal product quality and throughput
Collaborate with scheduling and operations planning teams to optimize production runs, minimize changeover times, and manage inventory effectively
Monitor daily production reports to track yield, scrap rates, and machine uptime, taking immediate action to address variances.
Plan and develop systems, procedures, and solutions to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards are maintained and improved.
Lead capital projects within the extrusion department.
Assist in annual budget preparation for the extrusion department and be able to justify the investments being proposed.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, team leads and extrusion operators, adhering to established performance metrics and KPIs
Identify skills gaps and oversee technical training programs for supervisors and operators
Foster a collaborative environment that encourages employee engagement and problem-solving at the floor level.
