Production Manager
Lead the Operation Behind the LabelBizerba Labels Solutions is looking for a
Production Manager. This role leads daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and on-time delivery while driving continuous improvement and supporting a motivated, high-performing team.
Your tasks- Organize, direct, and oversee all aspects of daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
- Optimize the utilization of printing equipment and machinery while coordinating closely with Production Planning, Quality, and Maintenance departments to prioritize work and maintain operational excellence.
- Supervise production supervisors, team leaders, press operators, and press helpers, while leading hiring, training, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
- Foster a positive, safe, and motivating work environment through employee engagement, safety training, and enforcement of health and safety regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality control standards, analyze non-conformities, and drive corrective and preventive actions to support continuous improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, 5S, and Kaizen programs, to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
- Develop staffing plans and allocate resources to ensure internal and external SLA targets are consistently achieved.
- Manage production budgets, monitor operating costs, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, waste, downtime, and OEE.
- Collaborate effectively with Purchasing, Maintenance, Quality, Logistics, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Manage biweekly payroll and timecard approval processes, ensuring accurate employee hours, attendance tracking, and timely submission in compliance with company policies and payroll deadlines.
Your profile- Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Printing Technology, or a related field or comparable relevant experience.
- 5-10 years of leadership experience in printing or manufacturing.
- Strong leadership skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with production management systems and ERP software.
- In-depth knowledge of flexographic, offset, and digital printing processes (highly desirable).
