Position Overview A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee shop-floor manufacturing operations at its Delmont, PA facility. This position is responsible for supervising manufacturing operations across Regrind, Mixing, Pressing, 2nd Operations, Welding, Skiving, and Shipping.
The Production Supervisor will lead manufacturing operators, coordinate daily production activities, execute production schedules, meet financial and performance targets, and maintain a safe, world-class manufacturing environment. The role ensures value-added products are produced safely, efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with customer quality requirements across all shifts.
Key Responsibilities - Maintain a safe manufacturing environment through hazard identification, corrective actions, and behavior-based safety initiatives. Partner with site EHS to track and close corrective actions and evaluate new safety technologies.
- Lead daily production activities to meet production schedules, shipment deadlines, and quality standards while providing hands-on, floor-level leadership.
- Manage site communication and plan staffing and production capacity to meet changing business requirements.
- Drive manufacturing performance across scrap, yield, quality, cost, and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, while leading continuous improvement initiatives assigned by the Production Manager.
- Monitor and report key manufacturing metrics while supporting annual performance targets, capital planning, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Coordinate employee staffing, development, performance management, cross-training, and policy compliance in partnership with Human Resources.
- Address employee concerns and maintain adequate workforce coverage for overtime, absences, and production requirements.
Qualifications & Experience - 5-7 years of manufacturing process experience.
- Knowledge of fabrication and machining processes, compression molding, and plastics mixing technologies preferred.
- Good mechanical aptitude, including blueprint reading experience and a basic understanding of industrial equipment.
- Ability to comprehend and apply quality engineering and technical principles and methods within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Proven decision-making capabilities encompassing problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage employees, performance, production priorities, and competing operational demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment This is an office- and plant-based leadership position requiring significant visibility on the manufacturing floor. Approximately 60% of the normal workday is spent on the plant floor observing operations, interacting with employees, overseeing manufacturing activities, inspecting materials, and supervising processes and personnel. The environment may include normal to loud noise levels requiring hearing protection and clean, dusty/dirty, or wet/humid plant conditions.
