Full Job Description
Production Engineering Manager The Boeing Company is looking for a Production Engineering Manager (Integration & Support Engineering Management) in Huntsville, AL. The BDS Production Engineering Manager will lead the Tool Engineering (TE) team based in Huntsville, AL, Berkley, MO, and Mesa, AZ. The team provides direct program support to Air Dominance (AD) and Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers (MS&B) production programs and provide expertise and deliverables to other BDS and BGS programs. Position Responsibilities: - Lead a Tool Engineering organization across multiple BDS sites responsible to develop and execute planned statements of work for tool design and stress analysis. - Lead and manage an organization with responsibility for employee development, organization RAA, and cost management. Support team growth, from hiring to skill development. - Support BDS IPT teams through implementation of standards and execute on program commitments. - Working across BDS divisions and multiple production programs virtually and in-person at BDS sites. - Integrating with other business units to advance the TE functions by sharing lessons learned and best practices, collaborating on Command Media development. - Communicate requirements, status, and deliverables with customers from across the Enterprise. - Ensure safety, quality, and commitments are met by all teammates. Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance post-start and Special Access. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): - Bachelor’s degree in an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. - Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership. - 5 years engineering experience, including 3 years of Production Engineering experience - Communication Skills - Cross Functional Collaboration experience - Proven ability to lead through Influence Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): - Substantial Tool Engineering domain knowledge. - Knowledge of Production Engineering Processes and Tools - Lead through Influence - Coaching, Guiding, Leading Production Improvements Relocation: Relocation assistance is available and a negotiable benefit for eligible candidates.
