Full Job Description
Primary Purpose

The Production Engineering Supervisor provides technical leadership and operational oversight for the production engineering team, ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timely approval of all production analyses, calculations, and reports. This role is accountable for guiding day-to-day production planning activities, offering expert advice, and resolving complex production challenges to support stable and optimized facility operations.

In addition, the Supervisor develops and implements strategies, procedures, work plans, and training programs that strengthen team capability and ensure consistent production engineering excellence. The position collaborates closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering Services, Marine, Commercial Operations, and other corporate stakeholders to align production planning, enhance communication flow, and support the safe, reliable, and sustainable achievement of facility production targets, regulatory requirements, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Generate and Review and validate the daily feed gas requirements for the facility.
  • Generate and approve short term, medium term and long-term production forecasts for commercial business requirements.
  • Assist and lead production engineering in Annual Delivery Plan.
  • Approve Daily Energy Balance and all monthly and daily production reports.
  • Create improvement strategies and production reports for the management
  • Lead interactions with commercial operations, gas supply, finance, marketing, risk and all other corporate stakeholders for smooth communication network between site and corporate.
  • Lead the production budget and planning process.
  • Develop and implement production engineering standards and procedures.
  • Manage the facility Chemical and Refrigerant requirements, by utilizing appropriate measures and tools to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the facility.
  • Identify and recommend processes to improve operational efficiencies, reduce LAUF (Loss and unaccounted for), manage overtime, and increase safety performance.

Qualifications

Education
  • Required: Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Process or Industrial Engineering

Experience
  • Required: Typically requires 10 years of related experience; 12+ years in Petrochemical, Refining, Oil & Gas/LNG Operations
  • 8+ years Production Engineer
  • 3+ years Supervisory experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Able to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals whose skills cover the range required to operate and maintain the operations of the Port Arthur Liquefaction facility.
  • Possess the ability to relate to and to establish a mutually respectful relationship with management, peers and the various facility level workers who are all responsible for ensuring operational excellence.
  • Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Analytical thinking and ability to utilize concise data and information while working through problems and implementing solutions.
  • Strong leadership abilities to build positive team environment, manage and influence team performance including mentoring.
  • Strong ability to implement best practices for Production Engineering
  • Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PPT, Visio to convey information with clarity through presentations and reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex issues and work independently.
  • Proven personal characteristics of integrity, accountability, and dependability.
  • Ability to lead and develop people in a way that inspires trust and loyalty.
  • Ability to apply strong written and oral communication skills while presenting and participating in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • General knowledge of computer applications like PiVision, DCS systems, SCADA and ability to work with automated applications.
  • Thorough understanding of LNG Process, maintenance, environmental, regulations, and associated codes and standards.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
