Full Job Description
Siemens is looking for a Production Controller for their Grand Prairie manufacturing facility. Our growing facility has more than 1,200 employees that produce high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment for the western United States market. Our processes include material handling, metal fabrication, final assembly and test. The position is responsible for converting the incoming production schedule into an efficient production sequence based on designs, material availability and line status. Responsible for monitoring the status of the production sequence and driving improvement actions for adherence.
You will make an impact by:
• Creating, monitoring, reporting and driving production to adhere to production sequence.
• Coordinate and balance supply and demand. Evaluating work center capacity and material supply to develop detailed production plans to achieve a high level of schedule adherence.
• Works closely with production and customer service to plan and prioritize operations to fulfill customer requirements on time and ensure maximum performance, considering resources needed and available, to meet, at the same time, our financial goals.
• Drive and coordinate daily production meetings.
• Developing and maintaining daily/weekly manufacturing schedules to meet customer demand
• Analyzes data from MES to develop strategies for continuous improvement
• Review, update and/or fix SAP material master or configurations as needed
• Responsible for meeting delivery reliability, schedule adherence and cost saving/productivity initiatives for the site
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering desired, although candidates with varying degrees will also be considered based on experience.
• 2 plus years of experience in production role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Buyer, Planner, or a Master Scheduler roles. Will consider recently college graduate for this role as well.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Particularly Excel).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

• MES experience
• APICS Certification
• Lean Manufacturing experience
• Microsoft Access
• Excel Macros

The pay range for this position is $60,333 - $103,428 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
