Production Control Planner

What You'll Do

You'll own the planning and scheduling process for assigned part numbers, ensuring materials, tooling, and production capacity come together seamlessly. You'll collaborate across multiple teams-manufacturing, supply chain, fulfillment, customer service, and more-to drive schedule execution, resolve shortages, prevent delays, and support on-time customer delivery.

You will coordinate material flow, monitor supply-and-demand alignment, oversee corrective actions, and maintain accurate traceability throughout the manufacturing process. You'll analyze production performance and data to identify opportunities to improve inventory levels, strengthen customer service, and reduce cost. Your work directly impacts production efficiency, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.

Pay Range: $70,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year, depending on experience

Your Key Responsibilities Include
• Managing scheduling activities through the advanced planning system
• Identifying and responding to material issues and shortages
• Coordinating outside processing and hardware delivery
• Monitoring corrective actions and schedule execution
• Driving alignment between demand, supply, capacity, and tooling availability
• Communicating across departments and shifts to resolve bottlenecks
• Ensuring accurate work orders, traceability, and documentation
• Supporting continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
• Ensuring timely shipments and full production schedule realization

What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma/GED with at least four years of aerospace production planning experience
• Experience in production control, planning, sourcing, or materials management
• Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP planning systems
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Excellent analytical abilities and comfort with Excel/spreadsheets
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• At least one year working with ERP planning tools

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Comprehensive project management and planning skills
• Demonstrate strong cross-functional communication skills and good analytical problem solving abilities. Read and understand customer requirements, prints, specifications and coordination memos.
• Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment that requires the ability to handle multiple projects in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and work with customers and the employees at each level of the organization.
• Ability to pay attention to the details while maintaining a broad focus on scope of responsibilities.
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to quickly and accurately evaluate information in a timely basis.
• Understand customer/ supplier relationships along with internal and external customers.

Education & Experience Required:

• BS Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, or comparable work experience
• A minimum of 5 years' direct experience in Production Control, preferably in the aerospace manufacturing industry.
• Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Extensive experience using MRP/ERP.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and other PC based computer systems.
