Full Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead system bring-up, functional validation, characterization, and qualification of AI semiconductor products from first silicon through production release.
Develop validation strategies, test plans, and qualification methodologies covering silicon, FPGA platforms, evaluation boards, firmware, drivers, SDKs, and production test environments.
Design and execute functional, performance, reliability, and stress test plans to verify product functionality, robustness, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with IC Design, Analog, Digital, Device, Compiler, Software, Firmware, and Product Engineering teams to identify root causes and resolve complex silicon and system-level issues.
Develop automated validation tools and test frameworks using Python, C/C++, or scripting languages to improve test efficiency, regression coverage, and data analysis.
Analyze validation results, debug hardware and software issues, and drive corrective actions to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Define validation metrics, release criteria, and customer qualification requirements while supporting engineering samples, customer evaluations, and production readiness.
Work closely with Product Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from engineering validation to high-volume manufacturing.
Mentor validation engineers, establish best practices for validation methodologies, documentation, and debug workflows, and drive continuous process improvements.
Support customer demonstrations, field validation, and technical engagements while representing the validation team during design reviews, qualification milestones, and product releases.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8+ years of experience in semiconductor functional validation, silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, or system validation.
Strong experience debugging ASICs, SoCs, FPGA platforms, and embedded systems.
Experience with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, power analyzers, and signal generators.
Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or scripting languages for test automation and data analysis.
Strong understanding of digital interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, GPIO, JTAG, PCIe, USB, or Ethernet.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AI accelerators, RRAM, MRAM, Compute-in-Memory (CIM), or advanced memory technologies.
Experience with FPGA-based prototyping and system bring-up.
Familiarity with DFT methodologies, production ATE, and silicon characterization.
Experience developing automated regression frameworks and validation infrastructure.
Knowledge of Linux environments, Git, CI/CD workflows, and version control systems.
Experience supporting customer qualification, product certification, and high-volume manufacturing.
