About the role:

The Product Supply Manager leads the delivery of lean, responsive, and resilient material and services flow for indirect procurement supply to SPM Oil & Gas production operations and product service centers.

  • This position requires working onsite five days a week
  • Travel up to 15%

What you will do:
  • Manages the relationship between SPM procurement and Caterpillar COGMD/ Power & Energy division/business unit, including representing supply management (goods and services), being the trusted advisor on the supply markets, and collaboration leader of product and process from the supply side.
  • Leading a team responsible for defining or approving product/component collaboration strategies (price and sourcing responsibilities), networking design and governance, negotiating service level agreements (MSA's), NDSA negotiations, CAT systems supplier code requirements for 3PL vendors, and aligning business planning objectives.
  • Leading and deploying key indirect spend projects (safety, material handling, facility services, etc.) to successfully meet business unit requirements.

What you will have:
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

Procurement Function: Knowledge of responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of procurement function; ability to perform tasks and activities of the procurement functions or department.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
