Full Job Description
What Your Experience Will Be

As a Product Solutions Engineer at Slang AI, you are the technical connector between what customers need today and what our product becomes tomorrow. You will be on calls with enterprise restaurant groups, working through pain points that no off-the-shelf feature can yet solve. You will be prototyping lightweight integrations or custom dashboards that turn those conversations into something real and shippable. You will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market, which means your work spans the full arc of how Slang builds and delivers value.

You will collaborate closely with our enterprise sales team, product managers, and engineers to support sellers on closing deals and work on internal innovations to support how we deploy our products. Revenue leadership is also deeply involved in both customer relationships and product direction, so this role offers a rare window into how strategic decisions get made at a fast-moving AI company. You will be a trusted technical partner on the pilots and deals that matter most, helping the sales team win and helping customers succeed once they are in. You will be in conversations that shape Slang's roadmap, not just executing against it.

A meaningful portion of your time goes toward internal impact as well. You will build and maintain the tools, dashboards, and automations that help Slang's own teams move faster and operate more clearly. Whether that is a reporting system that gives leadership cleaner visibility into key metrics or an AI automation that saves an operations team hours each week, your work compounds across the company. You will travel occasionally for customer meetings, team offsites, and company gatherings.

What Success Looks Like

  • You will support strategic enterprise pilots end to end, from scoping the technical approach to delivering a working solution that helps the sales team close and the customer succeed.
  • You will build custom reports, dashboards, and integrations that solve real problems for enterprise customers and demonstrate Slang's ability to go beyond the standard product configuration.
  • You will contribute directly to new product development and, when your work proves out, help graduate it to the appropriate engineering or product team in a way that can scale.
  • You will own and maintain internal tools and AI automations that make Slang's teams faster and smarter, with measurable reductions in manual work across the company.
  • You will create reusable code, documentation, and playbooks so that what you build once continues to deliver value well beyond the original use case.

What You Will Bring

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, product engineering, or a similarly technical and cross-functional role.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of independently building and shipping working solutions, not just scoping or speccing them.
  • Proficiency with APIs, SQL, data analysis, and data pipelines, with comfort working across the full stack of a solution.
  • Experience building lightweight front-end experiences, internal tools, dashboards, or customer-facing applications.
  • Active use of AI development tools in your daily workflow. You do not just know these tools exist; you have made them a genuine part of how you build, debug, and ship faster.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical work clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work directly with enterprise customers and executive stakeholders, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage expectations.
  • A strong bias toward action, experimentation, and shipping, paired with the judgment to know when to slow down and get something right.
  • Preferred: experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or SaaS industry, or familiarity with voice AI or conversational technology.

How Work Affects My Life

This role gives you direct line-of-sight into the most important technical problems at a high-growth AI company, along with the autonomy to go solve them.

  • Work remotely with occasional travel to customer sites and company offsites
  • Competitive salary and equity package reflecting your expertise and contributions
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and career trajectory
  • Contribute to a company mission that transforms the restaurant and hospitality industry

This role will change how you think about the relationship between building software and delivering customer value. Here, they are the same thing
