Full Job Description
Job Purpose

The Product Portfolio & Margin Analyst serves as the primary focal point for Margin Management and product portfolio analysis within the Wood Finishes business. This role leads margin management activities by providing comprehensive financial and portfolio analysis, preparing and supporting annual Margin Management target meetings, Performance Huddles, and PMR reviews to drive informed business decisions. The position partners closely with Product Management to support pricing strategies that achieve portfolio profitability targets while proactively analyzing product portfolio performance, health, and complexity. By centrally managing portfolio data and delivering actionable insights, this role enables data-driven decision-making that optimizes profitability, strengthens portfolio performance, and supports the business's strategic growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Supports and monitors margin improvement implementation in line with strategy and actions (e.g. increasing core assortment, implementing price increase, optimizing product mix, optimizing customer mix, reducing complexity).
• Provides guidance and feedback on price positioning and final price proposals by including value pricing aspects by customer segment in line with pricing architectures, value propositions and cost modeling.
• Monitoring and analysis and understanding of customer value drivers.
• Supports the Product Management team in actively analyzing the product portfolio and that tail-end products are actively managed.
• Monitors implementation of correct prices and terms to safeguard margin targets. Reports deviation to Regional Marketing Manager and BU Marketing and Pricing Excellence Manager and proposes improvements.
• Supports, prepares and conducts regional margin management and pricing (win room) workshops.
• Makes price and margin calculations, provides support for optimal price proposals; value proposition, price architectures, competitor, terms and product mix - validates if new customer is in line with current customers on terms, product mix and competitors.
• Facilitates the monthly Regional PMR cycles, including support for assumptions, price increase and EMM data.
• Specialist in execution of margin management and pricing acceleration tools.
• On request, executes various volume, value and margin calculations.
• Coordinates progress on action plans for margin improvement and price increases with sales and the Business Consultants in the PCU by monitoring and reporting on progress; win rooms and performance huddle support.
• Collects information on market pricing, sales terms and market pricing practice and makes market pricing comparison per segment/region/country as relevant.
• Supports action plans for margin improvement and their translation into regional and local plans (e.g. by segment, brand, product, customer).
• Supports Product Management to execute and conduct (bi-) annual product portfolio complexity reduction and review sessions together with Marketing and other relevant stakeholders.
• Supports Product Management with Master Data requests and E2E process.
• Supports on stretched assignments within the Marketing scope to support personal growth.

Experiences & Job Requirements
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business/Finance/Economics
• Preferably 2+ year experience in a commercial environment
• Ideally experience in 1 or more area(s) of marketing and/or sales
• Some work experience in a sales/tech service role is an advantage
• Analytical mind with good financial acumen

Rewards/Benefits

The salary range for these skills is: $89,000 to $103,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
This role eligible for an annual bonus target of 7.5%, based on individual and company performance.
