Your Role on Our Team

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative products that meet user needs and business goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Designers, and Digital Product Managers, to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product releases. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, organized, analytical, curious, an effective communicator, and possesses a basic understanding of agile product delivery principles and practices.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Promoting a culture where teams are inspired to collaborate; ensuring everyone understands their part in the process.
  • Practicing the soft skills of Product Ownership such as team collaboration, being detail oriented, and being a problem solver.
  • Practice leading agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews.
  • Collaborating with the development team to ensure clear understanding and acceptance of user stories for digital products.
  • Maintaining a prioritized product backlog for digital products with user stories. Continuously refining and the backlog to ensure a clear understanding of the product requirements.
  • Writing & owning acceptance criteria within the team's user stories with assistance from mentor and lead developer as necessary.
  • Working with UX designers and developers to understand user experience across digital products to help incorporate user-centered design best practices.
  • Understanding how to find answers to the team's questions to clarify requirements.
  • Effectively communicating product updates and status to necessary audience.
  • Learning the products and users to understand the purpose & vision behind the enhancements & work.
  • Practicing in the plan and execution of successful product launches for digital products.
  • Developing relationships with other Product Owners to learn from their best practices and experiences.


The TOOLS you'll bring with you:
  • 4-year degree in IT, Engineering, or Business Management minimum; OR equivalent experience


Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
  • Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO)
  • Passion for technology and an interest in understanding customer needs in the digital product space.
  • Familiarity with product management tools, such as ADO, Jira, Trello, Lucid, and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of program governance using both waterfall and agile methodologies combined with ability to manage projects.
  • Ability to quickly learn business processes and provide insight and guidance.
  • Ability to gather requirements from business partners.
  • Ability to breakdown strategic objectives into actionable work for development teams
  • Ability to convey concepts and ideas concisely in verbal and written form.
  • Evidence of strategic thinking and some experience in executing in a fast-paced or cross functional environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to influence and organize.
  • Identify opportunities for process or technology improvements.
