Description

SAIC is seeking a mission-focused and highly organized Product Owner to support the Joint Range Extension (JRE) product line within the C5ISR portfolio. The Product Owner will be the voice of the customer while managing the backlog, leading team prioritization, and ensuring JRE software capabilities meet stakeholder needs, sustainment requirements, and modernization goals.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical understanding of Tactical Data Links, agile experience, and demonstrates the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams delivering complex DOW software systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Voice of Customer for the JRE Product and Program
  • Translate customer requirements to technical/non-technical requirements
  • Collaborate to innovate and mitigate capability gaps in the tactical data link environment
  • Author Acceptance Criteria as the voice of the customer.
  • Coordinate with engineering, sustainment, program and product management, and external partners to deliver software increments that meet quality, schedule, and contract commitments
  • Engage with customers to ensure product decisions reflect operational needs
  • Support creation and updates of Agile SOPs, workflows, and program collateral needed for execution
  • Collaborate to create use cases and customer personas
  • Manage JRE product backlogs, ensuring all product backlog items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with customer value
  • Convert stakeholder needs into actionable requirements and PBIs aligned to Agile development processes

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years of experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance after start
  • Relative experience in tactical data links (Link-16, VMF, etc.) OR Agile methodologies (SAFe/Kanban/Scrum)
  • CSPO I or SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent
  • Experience as a Product Owner or equivalent role in a defense environment
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience translating operational needs into development requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Experience with C5ISR systems, tactical data links, or gateway/interoperability software
  • Familiarity with JRE program scope, and JRE subscription/licensing
  • Hands on experience with Tactical Data Links on an operational or tactical level
  • Understanding of DoD contracting, PWS requirements, and CLIN structures

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
