Full Job Description
About this role

You will be Waymark's first Product Marketing Manager, building our product marketing function from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape how we position our AI technology and data science innovations in the market, translate complex clinical evidence into compelling business narratives, and create the strategic infrastructure that enables our enterprise sales success with health plans and health systems.

You will work directly with our VP of Marketing and collaborate closely with our BD, Product, Research/Clinical, and Partner Success teams to develop positioning frameworks, competitive strategies, and sales enablement materials that don't exist today. In your first 12 months, you'll establish our tech differentiation narrative, build a comprehensive sales enablement library, lead strategic product launches for our AI products, build our scientific communications pipeline, and create the market intelligence systems that inform our product strategy. If you thrive in environments where you can build something from scratch and see direct impact on revenue growth, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and own our product positioning framework and messaging architecture across our AI product portfolio, translating data science capabilities and clinical outcomes into business-outcome language that resonates with health plan and health system buyers
  • Build and maintain our tech differentiation narrative - the cohesive story of why our AI innovation matters and where we win against competitors
  • Lead strategic go-to-market planning for product launches, moving us from tactical announcements to systematic market education with clear positioning and success metrics
  • Own scientific communications: partner with our research and clinical teams to triage new manuscripts, plan publication moments, and translate peer-reviewed findings into market-facing narratives and enablement content
  • Build and maintain our sales enablement library - pitch decks, case studies, whitepapers, battle cards battle cards - and partner with BD and Partner Success to support key enterprise opportunities and continuously improve our sales approach based on market feedback

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, including experience as the first or only product marketer building the function from scratch
  • Track record bringing new products to market, particularly technical or data science products, with experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to distill complex technical and clinical concepts into clear, compelling business narratives
  • Self-starter who operates effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments with ability to build processes and infrastructure independently

Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare experience, particularly working with health plans, health systems, or value-based care organizations
  • Experience in early-stage or high-growth B2B SaaS companies
  • Background translating clinical evidence, research, or technical capabilities into market positioning and sales narratives
