Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing product marketing initiatives that help drive the key strategies for the business. This includes market research to inform the new product development process, product launch and marketing strategy, and leading the development of product-specific sales enablement tools/materials. This position works closely with Product Development, Engineering, Design, IT, Sales, Marketing and our Distribution Channel to bring products to market.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Spearheads research and analysis for key segments. Monitors market and industry trends. Conducts competitor analysis & market research. Researches opportunities for new product categories.
  • Conduit for Rep feedback on existing products or new product opportunities.
  • Works in parallel with the Product Manager throughout the New Product Development Process, playing a lead, shared or supporting role depending on the stage.
  • Collaborates with the NPD Project Manager throughout the New Product Development Process to ensure timely and effective launch of new products.
  • Provides leadership and marketing direction for cross-functional teams; identifying objectives, establishing plans/milestones and success criteria, monitoring teams' progress, managing risk, and successfully delivering the desired results.
  • Leads product launch efforts (Play, Custom, Shade, Water). Empowers go-to-market teams such as Sales, Reps, Customer Experience, etc. with product messaging and assets and makes sure all systems/tools are prepared to support launch efforts.
  • Leads Implementation Team projects including product launches, product changes, product sunsetting, annual price changes, etc.
  • Identifies a coherent marketing strategy for products and product lines
  • Influences and aligns business leaders to ensure the successful execution of the marketing for all product initiatives and projects. Communicates product plans, delivery and performance to all stake holders in an effective and timely manner.
  • Provides product knowledge in training for key positions in the organization and throughout the distribution channel.
  • Manages activities and external legal relationships supporting trademark registration and legal issues surrounding trademarks.
  • Provides product expertise for catalog content, including review of assets and information for product accuracy, recommendation of images, and creation of content for new additions.
  • Manages the Disney relationship specific to the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival and Food & Wine Festival, including collaborating on the design to include strategic products, placing the order, and managing the photo/video session.

The starting target salary range is $130,000 - $160,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.

In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity.
